He has also been a postdoctoral fellow at Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and at MIT in its G.R. Harrison Spectroscopy Laboratory and Laser Biomedical Research Center. Additionally, he has been an assistant at the University of Belgrade in Serbia.

He received a bachelor's degree, master's degree and Ph.D. from the University of Belgrade.
